Together we can...inspire the reader within.

Bio

I am proud to support children in their learning and development. I am passionate about helping every child to reach their full potential by creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where they feel valued, understood, and confident to succeed.

A particular passion of mine is reading. I love sharing stories with children and helping them develop a lifelong love of books. I believe that reading opens the door to imagination, creativity, and learning, and I enjoy supporting pupils in developing their confidence, fluency, and comprehension skills. Seeing a child become engaged in a story or discover a new favourite book is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

I also have a keen interest in developing and using social stories to support children's social, emotional, and communication needs. I enjoy creating personalised resources that help pupils understand situations, manage emotions, build positive relationships, and develop confidence in navigating everyday experiences. Supporting children in this way helps them feel secure, independent, and ready to engage fully in school life.

I enjoy working closely with pupils, families, and colleagues to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. I am committed to continually developing my own practice and value the opportunity to participate in our weekly CPD sessions, which allow me to expand my knowledge, share ideas with colleagues, and enhance the support I provide. Being able to help children grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and achieve success is what makes my role so rewarding.

Why Mayflower?

Mayflower to me has always felt like a family. I started many years ago and every year there is something new and exciting to get involved in.

What I am reading?

I love nothing more than sitting down of an evening with a good book and a hot drink and immersing myself in the storyline.

What am I Researching?

I value the opportunity to take part in our weekly CPD sessions, which enable me to enhance my teaching and stay informed of current research.
