Plymouth Argyle Community Trust | Curriculum and Extended Opportunities

Plymouth Argyle FC and their Community Trust are located within walking distance of our school. We are one of the closet schools to partner the great club. The Green Army are not just a football link for us. Pupils, parents and staff often attend matches as part of our community immersion and extended opportunities work, but we also link on curriculum development, Physical Education enhancement as well as recruitment. Rachele, an apprentice from Plymouth Argyle's apprentiship scheme, is working with us and supporting the development of art across the school, links with diversity community groups and nursery education.

With another direct link via Caleb Roberts (his Mother is a long term member of staff at Mayflower), one of Plymouth Argyle's youngest ever players to play first team football, but also to go professional, we are perfectly positioned to build trusted and real links for pupils to the most aspirant learning. Staff are also directly connected to the club, and we often also employ staff who are trained by Plymouth Argyle. Trained Teaching Assistants are employed specifically to support the delivery and development of Physical Education at Mayflower. Our relationship with Plymouth Argyle FC is one of collective challenge and support.

Plymouth Argyle Community Trust information can be found via their strategic plan https://argylecommunitytrust.co.uk/about-us/
