Intended Outcomes

Throughout the school we look at mapping what an intended outcome per year group might look like. This process is an ever evolving one where each term, pupil outcomes serve to keep us curious about how we can tweak learning opportunities and achieve even greater depths of understanding.

Each term, in both History and Geography, we give pupils the opportunity to declare and share their depth of understanding for any given area of curriculum content that's already been taught. Pupils write an essay and demonstrate what they can,

Recall: remember

Question and Explore: argue and make links

Communicate: creating an educated opinion

Assessment Rubrics

To guide this process, Mayflower uses a series of rubric statements to help guide teaching, learning and assessment. These rubrics detail how planning, over time, supports pupils to reach greater depth status.
