Governors on Curriculum


As members of the Local Governing Body, we take our roles very seriously. We Enjoy listening to School Leaders reporting to us about how standards are going, but we enjoy even more, diving into school life to see what standards look like in practice. 

COVID-19 restrictions have made the process of quality assurance a more difficult thing to manage. We have embraced opportunities to engage in remote learning and have worked with both our Learning Academies Trust Board and colleagues from Mayflower Community Academy to delve deeply into discussion with Subject Leaders. We share below examples of recent discussions with Subject Leaders. This work has provided us with insights into how school is run and how we are doing in achieving our school development plans. COVID-19 or not.
