Together we can...make a difference.

Bio

After qualifying as a teacher in 2020, I was lucky enough to complete the first 3 years of my career in London. This is where I developed my love and passion for teaching different cultures and religions, and it gave me a more in-depth understanding of how children learn English as an additional language.

I am honoured to have joined Mayflower to continue delivering high quality lessons within KS1. Mayflower has given me the opportunity to step outside the classroom and work with children across KS1 and KS2 their word reading and comprehension skills. Now, I am extremely lucky to be as part of the EYFS team and diving into a brand new way of learning.

I aim to support children in developing their fluency in teaching of reading. I aim to nurture the love of reading by displaying my passion for literature.

Why Mayflower?

When considering relocating, it was crucial I found a school that suited me. Mayflower reflected my personal pedagogy and core values.

What I am reading

I am an avid reader about diversity and changes in society. I am currently reading 'White Feminism' by Koa Beck.

What am I Researching?

I am particularly interested in the role of an adult in early years and the difference between interacting and interfering with children's play and learning.
