Together we can...inspire our future generations

Bio

I have been working at Mayflower for some time and I feel privileged to be part of the early years team, supporting our youngest learners as they begin their educational journey. I am passionate about supporting children's learning and development during these important formative years, helping them to build the confidence, curiosity, and skills they need to thrive. I enjoy working closely with children and their families to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Through play-based learning, practical experiences, and positive relationships, I take pride in supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development while fostering their independence and love of learning. Building strong connections with children and celebrating their individual achievements is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role. I am also committed to continually developing my own practice and enjoy participating in our weekly CPD sessions, which enable me to enhance my knowledge, learn new strategies, and provide the very best support for the children and families in our nursery community.

Why Mayflower?

Mayflower to me has always felt like a family. I started here in 2010 and every year there is something new and exciting to get involved in.

What I am reading?

I love reading to my children before bed every night as this is our time to snuggle up and have time together. At the moment we are reading Matilda by Roald Dahl.

What am I Researching?

I have a keen interest in Makaton and how we can bring it into the classroom. I am always updating my knowledge on this and have finished my level 3.
