Together we can...inspire the learner within
Bio
I have been working at Mayflower for a long time and am proud to be part of the EYFS team, supporting children during the crucial early stages of their education. I am passionate about helping children develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to become happy, successful learners. The early years provide the foundation for future learning, and I enjoy creating engaging experiences that encourage children’s curiosity, creativity, and love of discovery.
I enjoy working closely with pupils and their families to build positive relationships and create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through play-based learning and carefully planned activities, I help children develop socially, emotionally, and academically while encouraging them to become confident and independent learners.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is celebrating each child’s unique achievements and milestones, no matter how big or small. I am committed to providing the best possible support for our children and families and enjoy taking part in our weekly CPD sessions to continually develop my knowledge and skills. These opportunities allow me to reflect on and enhance my practice, ensuring that I provide engaging, high-quality learning experiences that help every child to thrive.

Why Mayflower?
Mayflower to me has always felt like a family. I started here many years ago and every year there is something new and exciting to get involved in.
What I am reading?
I love reading a wide range of books. My favourite thing to do is to sit down of an evening with a good book and get lost in the plot of the book.
What am I Researching?
I have a keen interest in Makaton and how we can bring it into the classroom. I am always updating my knowledge on this so I can support our pupils.
