Intro : good afternoon Giotta, I can’t quite believe that I am sitting right across the table from you and I’m even interviewing you! You are a very well know player in the Plymouth argyle community. Many people come to you for advice on how to improve their football skills and knowledge.  I’m very excited to learn more about you later in this podcast! Shall we get started?

Q1 you represent your country at an international level aswell as playing for argyle. How does it feel knowing many young people aspire to you all around Greece, Plymouth and the world?

Q2 your position on the pitch is central defence. What would you say is the most difficult aspect of being central defender, and if you could play one other position what would it be?

Q3 if you don’t mind me asking, what are your thoughts on the wage differences the men and women have, both in argyle.

Q4 Giotta, you moved to the uk when you were 18! That was just 8 years ago. The reason you moved to the uk was to attend university. When you moved to England did you think you would end up playing for a professional football club?

Q5 on the 26th of October you played a match against Maidstone United and won 7-0! How did that feel? It must have been exciting. How did it feel to score that first half header?

Q6 you’ve been playing for argyle for almost 7 years. What were the biggest changes that you saw happen to argyle or the team in those 8 seasons?

Q7  as captain of argyle women’s team, how do you approach leading your team on and off the pitch, especially during challenging moments of the season?

Q8 Argyle Women have a growing presence within the local football community. How significant is that connection to the supporters and the city, and in what ways does it inspire the team to perform and represent the club with pride each week?

Q9 sometimes there’s one match or moment that particularly brings the team together or changes the momentum. Was there a time like that for Argyle women this season, and what made it so special?

Q10 how do you balance working for the NHS aswell as playing for argyle? It must be tricky having to manage yourself as a professional footballer and a qualified physiotherapist.

Q11 I also play as a central defender and I am also the captain of my team. Do you have any tips on how to improve as cb ? Do you score many goals a season? If so how many?

Outro: Well Giotta, you have been incredibly interesting during this evening. Sadly we have to end this podcast. I could have chatted with you for hours and hours more. I have learnt so much. Who would have thought me a 12 year old boy could have interviewed a professional footballer? Thank you for this extraordinary opportunity and thank you to mayflower community academy and David Sammels for supervising me the entire way.

This was a special podcast. Our host, R, is an ex pupil of Mayflower and organised the entire podcast himself. This was a proud moment for our @madeinmayflowermedia team. R - demonstrated the power of this media group and how passionate they are about learning. He wrote in to Mr Sammels and requested that they work together to host the podcast and set up a great interview. Well done to R and his team of young podcasters, and thank you to Giota.

Together we can...
