Permaculture Pupil Council (The Elders)
At the heart of our school’s permaculture journey stands The Elders - a pupil-led council committed to designing, implementing, and measuring the impact of our environmental, growing, and community projects.
The Elders act as guardians of sustainability and creativity, ensuring that every pupil’s voice is heard and that our outdoor and indoor environments reflect the shared values of care for the earth, care for people, and fair share.
They notice what’s growing - and what needs nurturing.
They log ideas and impact.
They link pupils, staff, and community partners.
They learn by doing.
They lead by example.
Through every season, The Elders will help embed permaculture thinking into the daily life of the school from food growing and habitat care to design thinking, enterprise, and storytelling.
