Village of Curiosity | Team | Our Elders
Permaculture principles guide all work within our Village of Curiosity. We have taken time to meet people who have a blend of skills that, when mixed, support our capacity to work with and learn from nature. We are attracted to the idea of gathering collective wisdom - pupils | parents | community members. We are playing with the idea of having elders who are positioned to encourage cross-pollination of ideas and develop our permaculture principles into action.

Michele, a father of two, is a TA and Teacher-in-training at Mayflower Community Academy, currently completing a BA (Hons) in Craft & Material Practices followed by an MEd in Education. A former British Army recruit instructor and an accomplished ceramicist, glass blower and 3D designer, he brings structure, creativity and inclusivity to his work with children. Inspired by artists such as Yinka Shonibare, Lino Tagliapietra, Paul Klee and Gavin Turk, Michele explores how making, play and material experimentation can nurture curiosity, confidence and emotional regulation. Within the Village of Curiosity, he helps create spaces where every child can explore, belong and grow through hands-on creativity.
